LANCASTER, Pa. –  The Frostburg State Women's Swim team placed seventh out of 11 total teams at the Franklin & Marshall Invite over the weekend. 
 
The three-day invitational, featuring teams from NCAA Divisions I, II, and III, and began Friday with junior Kendall Hooper qualified for FSU's first A Final in the 200-yard IM, placing sixth overall out of 66 competitors in 2:10.47. In the preliminary round, freshman Alexis Ramsey swam a 2:19.79 that puts her eighth in program history, while junior Natasha Paciello earned a new PR at 2:20.70. In a loaded field of over 80 swimmers, senior Liz Perry made the A Final in the 50-yard freestyle, earning sixth place at 24.64.  
 
The Bobcats were outstanding in the relay events, as Paciello, Hooper, Perry and junior Lydia Nebiolo impressed in the 400-yard medley relay, placing fifth out of 19 teams in 4:00.44, which is the second-best mark in school history. Then freshman Gabby Douglas, juniors Alexis Council and Amaya Burke, and Perry swam a 1:39.53 in the 200-yard free relay that was within 0.2 seconds of breaking the school record, placing eighth overall in the meet out of 20.  
 
Saturday's session began with the 400-yard IM, Hooper earned herself a spot on the podium, placing third overall in 4:40.49. Paciello (4:57.07) and Ramsey (5:02.48) both also qualified for the C Final in the event, with the former setting a new personal record that puts her fifth all-time in program history, while the latter's 5:01.41 in the preliminaries moves into the eighth-best mark.  
 
Hooper continued her strong day, earning another third-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly at 57.60, while Perry made the B Final, placing 12^th in 59.68. Perry also earned a B Final in the 100-yard backstroke, placing 14^th in 1:01.67. In the preliminary round, Douglas swam a 1:01.57 that puts her fifth all-time in school history, while freshman Jayme Meadows earned a 1:03.06 for a top-10 time of her own. Paciello went on to qualify for the B Final in the 100-yard breaststroke, earning 11^th place at 1:07.90.  
 
The team of Nebiolo, Meadows, junior Tiernan Taggart, and freshman Rachel Rickabaugh smashed a season-best time in the 800-yard free relay at 8:07.18, which is the third-fastest mark in program history. In the 200-yard medley relay, Betancourt, Paciello, Hooper, and Douglas set the second-best time for the university, placing seventh at 1:50.19. 

On the final day, Meadows qualified for the C Final in the 200-yard backstroke, swimming a 2:14.34 that is sixth all-time in the FSU record book, while Douglas posted another top-10 time in the preliminaries at 2:17.98. Perry turned in another fantastic performance in the 100-yard free, earning second place out of over 70 competitors with a 53.20 time, while Douglas finished 11th in a 54.82 that ties the sixth-fastest time for the program. 

Hooper turned in the top individual race of the weekend, winning the 200-yard fly in 2:06.50, surpassing her preliminary time by almost three seconds. Ramsey and freshman Morgan Greenlee also showed out in the event, both finishing in 2:19.34 that ties them for the third-fastest in school history. Nebiolo placed seventh in the 1,650-yard free with an 18:08.54, while junior Amanda Soustek posted the program's eighth-fastest mark at 18:50.86.

The Bobcats ended the day on a pair of high notes, first in the 400-yard free relay, where Perry, Nebiolo, Hooper, and Douglas tied for first place and beat the school record by over a second in 3:34.18.
