FROSTBURG, Md. – The Frostburg State Women's Tennis team concluded Homecoming Weekend with a 7-0 sweep over D'Youville on Sunday afternoon.

FSU got out to a quick start, as freshmen Ella Troxell and Patricia Castejon took their No. 3 doubles match 6-0 in commanding fashion. They were followed up by a pair of 6-3 wins from juniors Julia Ramos and Lorena Pintar and sophomore Alyssa Kush and freshman Lauren Ceballos at No. 1 and No. 2 pairings, respectively.

Ramos (6-4, 6-3), Kush (6-3, 6-3), Pintar (6-0, 6-1), Ceballos (6-0, 6-0), and Castejon (6-0, 6-0) all went on to record straight-set sweeps in singles play. Junior Mariaspa Kotsiou completed the match sweep with a 6-1, 6-3 decision.

With the win, Frostburg improves to 2-1 in the Fall season, while the Saints drop to 0-5. The Bobcats remain at home for their next match on Saturday, October 14 against Shepherd at 1 p.m. Information and updates will be posted to frostburgsports.com.
