FROSTBURG, Md. – The Frostburg State Men's Swimming team continued their strong start to the season with a 154-105 victory at home over Fairmont State on Saturday afternoon.

After the Fighting Falcons took first in the opening 200-meter medley relay, the Bobcat trio of junior Nate Canapp (8:52.03), freshman Jack Bond (9:08.64), and senior Justin Geiszler (9:24.08) took the first three places in the 800-meter freestyle. It would be the first of two sweeps for Canapp (4:18.62) and Bond (4:26.60), as they also took the top two spots in the 400-meter free with sophomore Alex Whitton (4:38.69) placing third.

Frostburg also went 1-2-3 in the 200-meter breaststroke, with senior PJ Emrich (2:35.04) followed by juniors Luka Smith (2:39.94) and Tave Chanthavong (2:45.28). Chanthavong went on to pick up a victory in the 100-meter breast in 52.58.

Senior Noah Loper led the charge in the 100-meter free, winning in 54.96, while freshman Abe Bias (55.84) and sophomore Julian Najarro Sedar (56.30) placed second and third, respectively. Najarro Sedar (1:00.34) would then place just behind freshman Dylan King (1:00.20) in the 100-meter butterfly as the pair took the top two finishes.

Loper, Najarro Sedar, and seniors Andy Creelman and Jackson Miller capped off the meet with a win in the 400-meter free relay at 3:43.31, followed by the team of Bias, junior Jaden Tipton, and sophomores Andrew Wetherhold and Josh Horner in 3:47.32.

With the win, the men improve to 4-0 on the year, while Fairmont falls to 0-2. Frostburg returns to Bobcat Natatorium on Saturday, November 11 to face Ashland at 2 p.m. Information and updates will be posted to frostburgsports.com.
