FSU wasted no time getting ahead early, with the team of juniors Jackson Miller and Andy Creelman, sophomore Luka Smith, and freshman Andrew Wetherhold cruising to a win in the 200-meter medley relay at a time of 1:52.69.

Miller had one of the top days of any swimmer at the meet, going on to secure victories in both the 50-meter freestyle (25.59) and the 200-meter IM (2:18.11). In the 50 free, he was followed closely by sophomore Jaden Tipton in second at 26.21, while the 200 IM Canapp secured second (2:20.34) and junior Justin Geiszler earned third (2:29.92).

Junior Noah Loper joined in on the winning fashion in the 100-meter backstroke (1:03.40) and the 200-meter back (2:20.40), as Creelman was close behind in the 100 back at 1:06.48.

In a bit of friendly competition, sophomore Tave Chanthavong and Wetherhold swapped 1-2 finishes in the 100- and 200-meter breaststroke events, with the former winning the first and the latter taking the second. Sophomore Mikkel Leblanc (1:14.99) tacked on a third-place finish in the 100 breast to complete the FSU sweep.

Freshman Julian Najarro Sedar had an impressive pair of victories in the 100-meter free (54.63) and the 100-meter fly (1:00.40), where junior PJ Emrich finished second (1:02.74), then took a win in the 200-meter fly (2:23.48).

The day ended just as it started, with the team of Loper, Canapp, Miller, and Najarro Sedar winning the 400-meter free relay in 3:47.72, putting the team at 212 points, the most in a meet for the program since putting up 213 against Ferrum on October 27, 2017.
