Men's Tennis Drops Season Opener to Firebirds

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Frostburg State Men's Tennis got their season underway by paying a visit to the University of District of Columbia Firebirds and falling 3-4.

On the men's side, freshman Noah Fisher and sophomore Matt Bolen would pick up the lone doubles win. In singles, freshman Cole Alcala would take a 2-0 victory in match two over UDC's Mauricio Corty, by scores of 6-1 and 6-1. The Bobcats would close out strong by winning matches five and six, with junior Del Carden and freshman Noah Fisher picking up two wins.

As a team the Bobcats return on September 24 when they travel to face Kutztown. Before that, they will head to the NCAA ITA Tournament which begins on September 16 and ends on September 19.
