FROSTBURG, Md.- Andrew Foltz was today named Frostburg State's head men's and women's swim coach after having been an assistant for the Bobcats since 2019. This will be his first head coaching position at the collegiate level in his career.

"I am excited and honored to be the next head swimming coach for Frostburg State University," said Foltz. "I look forward to continuing to help the program grow and build upon what we have been able to accomplish in the past two years while I have been here as the assistant coach. I would like to thank Athletic Director Troy Dell, Assistant Athletic Director of Student Development and Success Emma Gerhold, and the rest of the search committee for giving me this great opportunity."

Foltz has been with Frostburg since the transition from the Division III to Division II level over the past couple years, with the Bobcats joining the Mountain East Conference. He has helped coach 37 All-MEC honorees, including six individual and two relay conference champions. This past year he helped to coach Anthony Giuseppetti to MEC Male Swimmer of the Year and Andrew Creelman to MEC Male Freshman of the Year. Additionally, during his tenure, several program records have been broken.

Prior to Frostburg, Foltz worked as an assistant swim coach at the Elizabethtown Aquatic Club in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania. While at Elizabethtown, he coached a USA Summer Junior National qualifier, Eastern Zone Championship qualifiers and a medalist, Middle Atlantic Senior Championship finalists, and Middle Atlantic Junior Olympic medalists.
From 2014-2019, Foltz was the head swim coach at the Mount Joy Lions Summer Swim Team in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania. As head coach, he led all aspects of daily team activities and instructed 75-100+ swimmers.
Foltz received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York in 2014. While graduating with honors, Foltz was a letterman on the Rochester football team and a three-time All-Academic honoree. He received a Master's Degree in Sports Management from Millersville University of Pennsylvania in 2019.
