FROSTBURG, Md. – The Frostburg State Women's Swim team fell 145-60 to Indiana (Pa.) at home on Saturday.

Prior to the meet, FSU honored its three seniors in Abby McCauley, Gaby Betancourt, and Jayme Meadows as they round out their Bobcat careers.

Sophomore Genna Rippeon led the Bobcats on the day with a pair of victories in both the 200-meter IM (2:11.68) and the 100 free (1:00.92). Betancourt would go on to take second in the 50 back at 31.42, the same placement as junior Mackenzie Payne in the 50 fly (30.83).

In the distance events, freshman Jenna Handwerger finished runner-up in the 800 free at 9:58.41, while sophomore Ashley Ellsworth was just 0.22 seconds off the top time in the 400 free at 4:50.63. Frostburg closed out the meet with the team of Rippeon, Meadows, Handwerger, and sophomore Taylor Emrich taking second in the 200 free relay at 1:54.92, less than one-tenth of a second away from the Crimson Hawks.

With the loss, FSU drops to 4-2 on the year, while IUP improves to 3-1. The Bobcats will return to the pool in the new year as they travel to Salem (WV) on Saturday, January 10 at 1 p.m. Information and updates will be posted to frostburgsports.com.
