Tennis Falls Short During Last Match of Season Against Fairmont State

FROSTBURG, Md. – The Frostburg State men's and women's team both fell short Tuesday at home against Fairmont State during their final match of the season. The men lost 0-7, while the women fell 1-6.

The lone point on the women's side came from sophomore Elizabeth Hixson during her singles match against Bailey Edburn. Hixson fell in the first set 6-3 but landed a huge comeback in the second and third winning 6-2 and 10-5, respectively.

On the men's side, the doubles team consisting of sophomore Ben Williams and first-year Ethan Von Hagel fought hard against Fairmont's Seena Saadevandi and Austin Noel, but ultimately fell short with a final score of 6-2.

The men end their season 1-9 (1-5 MEC) and the women finished at 2-8 (1-5 MEC). For more information go to www.frostburgsports.com.
