NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Frostburg State women's track & field team captured seventh place at the 2019 CAC Outdoor Championships at CNU, Saturday.
 
The Bobcats finished the second day of the CACs with eight top-10 finishes, three top-five finishes and a win.
 
Junior Keileen Estrada led the way for FSU with a win and First Team All-CAC honors in the 400-meter hurdles after posting a season-best 1:05.05. A year ago, she took second place in the 400 hurdles. On Saturday, she added eighth place in the 200-meter dash in 28.12.
 
Estrada also helped the Bobcats to a pair of top-10 finishes in the relay events.
 
She first helped the 4x100-meter relay squad to fifth place in 50.61. Her teammates were junior Gabbriell Reason, junior Sidonie Brown and sophomore Maddison Watson.
 
Frostburg later closed the CACs with sixth place in the 4x400-meter relay as Estrada, Watson, Brown and sophomore Ashleigh Myers posted a 4:26.20.
 
Individually, Myers took ninth in the 400 (1:13.16), Reason raced to sixth in the 100 (12.98) and Brown was ninth in the 800 (2:29.43).
 
First-year Amy Trembly earned third place in the high jump at a season-best 1.54 meters (5ft. 0.5in.), sophomore Cassandra Vogle was seventh in the javelin (31.75 meters/104ft. 2in.) and senior Holly Van Wie was 12^th in the discus at 32.07 meters (105ft. 2in.).
 
Frostburg returns to action next on Wednesday and Thursday, May 15 and 16, at the AARTFC Championships at Cortland State.
