FROSTBURG, Md. – The Frostburg men's lacrosse team wrapped its regular season yesterday afternoon and the Bobcats have earned the fifth seed in the upcoming CAC Tournament that starts this Saturday.
 
Frostburg (9-7) will visit fourth-seeded St. Mary's (Md.)(10-7) for a first round matchup this Saturday at 3:30 pm. Last weekend, the Seahawks emerged from the first meeting between the two schools with a 13-5 victory after a quick start to the game where the hosts jumped out to a 5-0 lead.
 
Last weekend's loss is the first against St. Mary's since 2013, but FSU charges into the first-round meeting following a dramatic 13-12 OT win over Mary Washington yesterday. Meanwhile, the Seahawks lost to Salisbury yesterday afternoon 18-6.
 
Frostburg and St. Mary's also met in the CAC Tournament First Round in 2014 at Bobcat Stadium and Frostburg emerged with a 17-9 win.
 
The other CAC first-round matchups feature seventh-seeded Southern Virginia at second-seeded Salisbury and sixth-seeded Mary Washington at third-seeded Christopher Newport.
 
The semifinal round will take place on Wednesday, May 1. The winner of Frostburg/St. Mary's will visit top-seeded York (Pa.), while the winners of the other two first-round games will square off.
 
The championship game is set for Saturday, May 4 with the winner receiving the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
