BETHANY, W.Va. – The Frostburg State men's tennis team dropped its final non-conference match of the season with a 6-3 setback at Bethany (W.Va.), Friday night.
Senior Derek Thompson and sophomore Geoffrey Goldring collected FSU's only win in doubles with an 8-3 win at No. 2 over Raj Vijayarajah and Geoffrey Foster.
Thompson also picked up a win at No. 3 singles over Vijayarajah, 6-3, 6-0. Senior Shasta Braithwaite earned his fifth win of the season at No. 1 singles with a 6-0, 7-5 win over Chris Ray.
Frostburg returns to action today when the men and women host York (Pa.) at noon.
