FROSTBURG, Md. – The Frostburg men's tennis team rolled to a 6-3 win over visiting Bethany in the final match of the season for the Bobcats, Sunday.
Frostburg caps the season with a 4-11 overall record and the victory is the third-straight non-league win for the Bobcats.
Bobcat seniors Joey Cox and Steven Glasbrenner each captured a win in their final collegiate match.
Cox teamed with junior Derek Thompson for a dominating 8-1 win at No. 2 doubles over Adam Franco and Danny Booth.
Meanwhile, Glasbrenner rallied past Franco at No. 4 singles after dropping the first set 7-5. He went on to collect the win behind scores of 7-6 (7-3) and 6-1.
First-year Geoffrey Goldring earned his third singles win in the last five matches with a 6-3, 4-6, 7-6 (7-1) win at No. 3 over Booth.
