th-ranked Christopher Newport women's tennis team downed Frostburg State in a CAC match, Sunday morning, 9-0, at the Bobcat Tennis Courts.

The Bobcats settle at 6-9 overall and 1-4 in league play, while the Captains improve to 11-5 overall and 5-1 in the conference.
Sophomore Emma Seibert and freshman Allison Paul fought hard at No. 2 doubles, but suffered an 8-1 loss to Katie Carlson and McKinney Harwood. Freshman Jenna Lipinksi and junior Jessi Smith also fell, 8-1, at No. 3 doubles to Claire Dockrill and Lily Schreiber
Frostburg returns to action on Tuesday when it hosts Southern Virginia in a CAC matchup at 3:00 pm.
