HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Frostburg women's tennis team posted its second-consecutive win behind another strong effort in both singles and doubles. The Bobcats (4-5) took down Virginia Wesleyan 5-2 behind three singles wins and two more victories in doubles action.
 
Freshmen Kate Paylor, Jenna Lipinski and Allison Paul set the tone in singles play.
 
Paul won her fourth singles match in five tries in Hilton Head by downing Francesca Lanuza at No. 5, 6-3, 6-3. Lipinski posted her third win of the team's spring break trip when she defeated Abby Horgan, 6-3, 6-0 at No. 4 singles. Paylor, meanwhile, posted a 6-3, 6-1 victory at No. 1 singles against Jackie Lee.
 
Frostburg opened the match by taking two of three doubles matches behind the strength of Paul and sophomore Emma Seibert.
 
The Paul/Seibert tandem collected their fourth-consecutive win at No. 3 doubles with a dominating 8-1 victory over Lanuza and Aubree Johnson.
 
Lipinski and Turner won their second-straight doubles match after winning 9-7 over Horgan and Jacklyn Cheely at No. 2.
 
With the conclusion of the Virginia Wesleyan match, the Bobcats wrapped up their spring break trip and they return to action on Sunday at Penn State Harrisburg at 2:00 pm.
