HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Despite winning two matches; the Frostburg State men's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to Concordia Wisconsin, Friday morning.
Bobcat freshman Shasta Braithwaite defeated CUW's Benjamin Nommensen, 6-3, 6-3 in the no. 1 singles competition to win the match.
The team of Braithwaite and junior Marcus Bowers won the no. 2 doubles match against Concordia Wisconsin's Nommensen and Trevor Budewitz. The match went into two sets before FSU sealed the victory, 9-8, 7-5.
FSU senior Teron Tyre dropped the no. 2 singles match against Christian Docter by a close decision, 6-3, 6-3.
The Bobcats will face Christopher Newport today for a match set to start at noon.
