FROSTBURG, Md. - After falling behind 1-0 early in the first half, Frostburg scored three-straight goals over a 10-minute span late in the half and carried that momentum to a 3-1 win over Hood, Saturday.

Box ScoreThe Bobcats won for the second-consecutive time and evened their record at 4-4. Hood lost for just the second time in five games and fell to 5-3.

Junior Alexandra Darrow scored two goals and started Frostburg's first-half flurry at 26:39. She collected a saved shot and fired her attempt into the back of the net to knot the game at 1-1.

A little under seven minutes later, Darrow scored the game winner off an assist from junior Jackie Best.

The Bobcats added to their lead with just 14 seconds showing on the first-half clock when sophomore Taylor Bowen found junior Ashley Johnson for a 3-1 cushion. On a penalty corner, Bowen's pass from the end line went directly to Johnson who hammered a shot past Hood keeper Jessica Sedgwick.

FSU outshot Hood 26-1 in the first half and held a 36-3 overall edge in shots. Darrow has scored two goals in each of the past two contests and has three multi-goal games this fall.

Alexis Briscoe scored Hood's only goal in the 12th minute in the opening half. Sedgwick finished with 14 saves.

Frostburg returns to the field on Wednesday when it hosts Bethany at 4:30 pm.
