FROSTBURG, Md. – Sophomore Kaitlin Lemmert picked up the only win for the Frostburg State women's tennis team as it fell to Capital Athletic Conference opponent St. Mary's (Md.) by a score of 8-1, Monday.
Lemmert was victorious in the No. 3 singles match with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Lauren Rost. Other than Lemmert, FSU freshman Ashley Smith picked up the most games with a 6-4, 6-2 loss to Emily Rost.
With the win the Seahawks improved to 6-8 on the season, while the Bobcats fell to 3-11.
Frostburg returns to action on Wednesday when it travels to Southern Virginia for a match at 3:00 pm.
