FROSTBURG, Md. – The Frostburg State women’s lacrosse team has claimed the sixth and final seed in the upcoming 2013 Capital Athletic Conference Tournament.
The Bobcats (5-10) will travel to third-seeded Mary Washington (10-6) this Tuesday, April 23, for the first round matchup. UMW defeated FSU in the regular season, 16-8.
Fifth-seeded Marymount (7-7) hits the road in the other first round contest and will travel to fourth-seeded St. Mary’s (7-9) on Tuesday. The Seahawks defeated MU, 19-13, in the regular-season meeting.
Second ranked and top-seeded Salisbury (15-0) along with tenth ranked and second-seeded York (12-3) earned first byes and will host the semifinals. SU will host the winner of the MU/SMCM contest while York will host the winner of FSU/UMW. The semifinals are scheduled for Saturday, April 27.
The CAC Tournament Championship is scheduled for Saturday, May 4 at the highest remaining seed. The winner will receive the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
