FROSTBURG, Md. - The Frostburg State University women's lacrosse team has earned the sixth and final seed in the 2011 Capital Athletic Conference Tournament that begins this weekend. The Bobcats travel to third seeded Mary Washington for an opening round game this Sunday at 2:00 pm.

FSU, in its first year in the CAC, finished league play 3-5 and 4-12 overall. The Bobcats enter the CAC Tournament on a bit of a slide, having lost their last five games. The trip to Fredericksburg, Va., will be the second for FSU in a little over a week as it lost at Mary Washington on Apirl 9, 23-11.

The opening round of the tournament starts on Saturday, April 16, when No. 4 seed St. Mary's (Md.) hosts No. 5 seed York. The Bobcats and Eagles have the other opening round match on Sunday.

The tournament semifinals begin on Tuesday, April 19. Top seed Salisbury hosts the winner of St. Mary's/York while second seed Stevenson hosts the winner of FSU/UMW. The league championship is slated for Saturday, April 23, at the highest remaining seed. The winner of the tournament will receive an automatic bid to the 2011 NCAA Tournament.
