ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. - Both the Frostburg State University men's and women's tennis teams dropped their regular-season finales to St. Mary's, Wednesday. The Bobcat men fell 7-2 while the women narrowly lost 5-4.

Senior Ramon Gutierrez (Gilbert, Ariz./West Ferris Secondary School) and junior Mike Stevenson (Bowie, Md./Bowie) captured the only wins for the men's squad. Gutierrez captured a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Kyle Feeley in No. 3 singles while Stevenson won No. 1 singles in straight sets 6-3, 7-5 over Arvin Wong.

Sophomore Megan Martin (Richmond, Va./Mills Goodwin) grabbed a pair of wins for the women's team. She teamed with freshman Amber Beckman (Cumberland, Md.) and together they started the match with a 8-5 win over Marie Rau and Chelsea Bradcovich in No. 1 doubles. The duo is now 5-2 on the season and have won five-straight doubles matches. Martin later went on to win No. 2 singles 6-0, 6-1 over Bradcovich.

The Bobcats finished off the match with a pair of singles wins. Senior Sarah Stephens (Oakland, Md./Southern Garrett) downed Rau in No. 1 singles 6-1, 6-0 and freshman Brianna Mazimann (East Meadow, N.Y./East Meadow) picked up a win in No. 6 singles 6-4, 6-3 over Allison Griffin.
