Elkins, W.Va. - The Frostburg State women's tennis team earned a 6-1 victory in non-conference action Monday afternoon at Div. II Davis & Elkins. Four Bobcat women earned singles wins, and those four teamed up to take home a pair of doubles wins.
Senior
Sarah Stephens (Oakland, Md./Southern Garrett) came from behind to win in three sets (0-6, 6-3, 7-6). Sophomore
Megan Martin (Richmond, Va./Mills Goodwin) and junior
Jannill Sites (Waynesboro, Pa./James Buchanan) also both won in three sets. Martin's was 6-2, 4-6, 7-6. Sites victory was 6-1, 2-6, 7-6.
Freshman
Amber Beckman (Cumberland, Md.) won in straight sets, 6-1 and 6-1.
Stephens and Martin teamed up to win their doubles match, 8-6, while Sites and Beckman combined for an 8-5 victory.
The Bobcats complete Capital Athletic Conference action Wednesday when they travel to St. Mary's (Md.) at 4:00 p.m.
