YORK, Pa. - The Frostburg State women's lacrosse team dropped its final regular season Capital Athletic Conference game of the spring season to York (Pa.), 15-5, Tuesday.

The teams battled to a 3-3 tie late in the first half, but the Spartans (12-3, 5-3) used a 10-0 run that spanned the final few minutes of the first and over 21 minutes of the second for a 13-3 lead.
FSU's
Taylor Cassatt (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty) ended the York run with a goal at 8:30, but the hosts added two more goals over a three-minute span to open up a 15-4 lead.
Freshman
Malory Brunett (Clarksville, Md./River Hill) capped the game's scoring for the Bobcats (4-11, 3-5) with just 14 seconds left.
Brunett continued her hot hand with three first-half goals that kept FSU in the contest. She finished with a game-high four scores and has now scored four goals in four of the last five games. Freshman keeper
Karoline Miller (Bethesda, Md./Walt Whitman) stopped 12 shots, including eight in the close first.
Toni DiLeonardi and Kerri Nicolich each scored three goals and handed out one assist to lead the Spartans in their regular-season finale.
The Bobcats return to action on Thursday when they travel to NCAA Division II Shepherd at 4:00 pm.
