Field Hockey Loses at Salisbury

Salisbury, Md. - The Frostburg State field hockey team was beaten 9-0 by No. 1 ranked Salisbury University in Capital Athletic Conference action at Salisbury.

The Bobcat offense found it difficult to get going in the first half as they would muster just two shots.  Salisbury used a ball-controlling attack to score five goals against the Frostburg defense on 31 shots.  Maggie Edwards made 15 saves in the first frame. 

The second half brought more of the same as Salisbury would add four more goals.  Danielle Lehman and Courtney Webster both scored two goals in the game for the Sea Gulls. 

Colby Wright, Allie Elliott, and Becky Randel notched shots for the Bobcats, and Frostburg goalie Maggie Edwards made 26 saves in the defeat. 

The loss closes out the CAC season for the Bobcats at 1-6.  Frostburg will conclude it season on Oct. 26 when they host Washington and Jefferson for senior day.
