LYNCHBURG, Va. - Despite 24 saves from sophomore goalkeeper
Maggie Edwards (Lebanon, N.J./Hunterdon Central Regional), the Frostburg State field hockey team fell to No. 18 Lynchburg, 8-1, Sunday afternoon.

Breanne Russell (Clements, Md./Chopticon) netted the only goal for the Bobcats (2-9) just three minutes before halftime.
Jenny Weir had four goals for Lynchburg (6-2) and Shelly Milks had three assists in the contest. Weir had her first goal at the 2:23 mark and Kristina Morris had the eventual game-winner at 14:15.
Edwards recorded her first two saves of the game within the first minute, recording 12 in each half. She now has 133 saves on the season and leads the Capital Athletic Conference. LC's keeper Tiffany Frye recorded the win for the Hornets while making two saves and allowing the only Bobcat goal.
Frostburg State returns to action on Tuesday, Sept 28 with it hosts Juniata at 4:00 pm in Bobcat Stadium.
