FROSTBURG, Md. – Megan Foy scored a game-high three goals and York (Pa.) held off a second-half charge from Frostburg State to earn a 10-7 win in non-conference women's lacrosse and snap a four-game losing skid, Wednesday afternoon.

York (3-7) opened the second half with three-straight goals over the first 11 minutes to open an 8-3 lead at 19:17. The Bobcats (2-6) then narrowed the deficit with a 4-1 run and trailed by just two goals, 9-7, at 7:49.
However, the Spartans scored the final goal at 6:12 off a free position attempt and later ran off the last few minutes of the game for the victory.

Joanna McIntire (Damascus, Md./Damascus) scored for the third-straight game to give the hosts a 1-0 cushion off a pass from classmate
Ali Kapustin (Columbia, Md./Marriots Ridge) just a few seconds into action.
YC assumed a two-point lead, 2-1, with back-to-back goals over the next couple of minutes, but the Bobcats moved back into the lead with their own two-goal run. Kapustin found the net at 24:24 and freshman
Rachel Frank (Huntingtown, Md./Huntingtown) scored at 13:26 for a 3-2 edge.
York closed out the first half and took the lead for good with three-straight goals over a six minute stretch late in the first half for a 5-3 lead at the break.

Katie Danneman (Herndon, Va./Paul VI Catholic) and
Elisabeth Hildebrand (Frederick, Md./Walkersville) each had one goal and sophomore
Megan Dent-Carman (LaVale, Md./Mercersburg Academy) added an assist.
Senior
Erin Morrell (Easton, Md./Easton) made 10 saves in the loss while Spartan keeper Anne Feustle made 12 saves including 11 in the second half.
Frostburg State returns to the field when it hosts Susquehanna on Saturday at 2:00 pm.
