Sammy Stalter (La Plata, Md./La Plata) scored three goals for her first career hat trick to lead Frostburg State field hockey to a 5-0 shutout victory over Wilson, Wednesday.

The Bobcats are now 10-3 overall on the season after their second-straight win. The Phoenix slip to 3-8 overall with their seventh loss in their last eight games.
All five FSU goals came in the second half as the hosts were kept off the board in the first despite attempting 16 shots. In the second, the Bobcats attempted the same number of shots (16) but with greater success.
Stalter scored just 52 seconds in the second period off an assist from senior
Michelle Frost (Jessup, Md./Hammond) as Frostburg State took a 1-0 lead.
FSU tallied a pair of goals within 39 seconds of one another in the 50th minute for a 3-0 edge. The first goal came from freshman
Brandi Mixell (Fort Littleton, Pa./Forbes Road) while Stalter added her second of the contest on a
Kate Oros (Salisbury, Md./Parkside) assist.
Stalter scored her third and final goal of the afternoon at 63:22 and freshman
Lisa Taylor (Chestertown, Md./Kent County) netted her first collegiate goal off a pass from sophomore
Brooke Tapman (Pocomoke, Md./Pocomoke) to end the scoring.
Nikola Grafnetterova made a game-high 18 saves in the loss, including 10 in the first half to keep FSU off the board. Sophomore
Samantha Foland (Myersville, Md./Middletown) made five saves in the shutout victory.
Frostburg State travels to Wooster on Saturday at 11:00 am.
