TOWSON, Md. – Freshman
Sami Topolski (Reisterstown, Md./Franklin) scored the game winning goal in the 49th minute to lift Frostburg State to a 2-1 win over Goucher in field hockey action, Wednesday.
The Bobcats are winners of five-straight and sit at 13-3 overall on the season while the Gophers are 4-12.
FSU dominated the game in shots (21-7) and penalty corners (11-5) but Gopher keeper Chloe Dircks made 13 saves to keep the hosts in the contest.

Sammy Stalter (La Plata, Md./La Plata) scored an unassisted goal at 9:04 for the only points in the first half as FSU led 1-0 at the break.
Just over four minutes into the second half, Laura Groomes found the net off a pass from Sara Spadanuta to even the game at 1-1.
The Bobcats attempted 15 shots in the second half but Topolski was the lone Bobcat to find the net in the second as she netted the game winner at 48:31. Senior
Michelle Frost (Jessup, Md./Hammond) was given credit for the assist.
FSU netminder Samantha Foland (Myersville, Md./Middletown) earned the victory after stopping three shots while Dirks earned the loss, despite making 10 saves in the second.
Frostburg State returns to the field on Saturday when it travels to York at 1:00 pm.
