Joshua Wade enters his second year as a graduate assistant with the Frostburg State football program in 2018.
Last year, Frostburg won a school record 11 games and finished 13th in Division III in total defense (265.6). The Bobcats surrendered just five rushing touchdowns all season and finished 13th in the country in rushing defense (82.2). FSU also posted 40 sacks and 108 tackles for loss.
Wade comes to FSU after a stint as the linebackers coach at Surrattsville High School (Clinton, Md.).
During his playing career, Wade spent three years as a member of the defensive line at North Carolina Central University. In his time with the Eagles, Wade help the program win two MEAC championships and served as a team captain during the 2015 season.
Wade spent his freshman campaign at Benedict College where he started all ten games for the Tigers and set a freshman record for tackles for loss (10.5).
Wade graduated from North Carolina Central University in 2016 with a degree in mass communications.
