Schalick Named MEC Baseball Player of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. - Junior Jackson Schalick was named the MEC Baseball Player of the Week, presented by The Health Plan, as announced by the league office Monday. 

Schalick helped FSU to a 3-1 record over the weekend, batting .455 with 4 runs scored and 7 RBI. He tallied three extra base hits on a pair of doubles and a home run, twice recording three RBI in a game. In the team's 4-3 victory over Glenville State, he had a lead-off double in the bottom of the seventh and scored the winning run in walk-off fashion.
