BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. - The Frostburg State Women's Lacrosse team was picked to repeat as MEC champions with the release of the conference's preseason poll, voted on by the league's head coaches.
FSU is coming off of one of the most successful seasons in program history, finishing with an overall record of 13-7 and an 8-0 mark in conference play, advancing to their first-ever NCAA Tournament since joining Division II. For the third consecutive season, the Bobcats were crowned regular season and MEC Tournament champions, defeating associate member Dominican (CA) 13-11 in the title game. Frostburg opens their season on the road against Kutztown on Wednesday, February 25.
