BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — The Frostburg State Baseball team was picked to win the MEC Norht Division, as announced by the conference's preseason poll, voted on by the league's head coaches. 

FSU placed second in the division last year behind conference champions Point Park, sporting an overall record of 36-17 with an MEC mark of 18-10. The Bobcats advanced to getting within one game of facing the Pioneers in the title game, but fell to Fairmont State. Frostburg will open their season on Friday, February 13 in Marietta, Ohio to face Ashland for a three-game series.
