Meadows, 400 Relay Team Impress for Women's Swimming at UMBC

BALTIMORE, Md. – The Frostburg State Women's Swimming team traveled to UMBC for a non-scoring competition on Saturday afternoon with the Retrievers and Mount St. Mary's.
 
FSU secured a pair of runner-up finishes on the day, the first individually from sophomore Jayme Meadows in the 200-yard free (2:00.89) and the next in the 400 free relay (3:44.34), with the team of seniors Kendall Hooper and Lydia Nebiolo and freshmen Madison Hooper and Genna Rippeon.
 
The Bobcats also secured several podium finishes in the afternoon, with Madison Hooper leading the way on a couple third places in the 50 free (24.71) and the 50 breast (31.30). Rippeon had the same result in the 100 free (54.61), along with Kendall Hooper in the 100 IM (59.55). Rounding out the meet with yet another third place was freshman Taylor Emrich in the 100 fly (1:01.61).
 
Frostburg next will host Indiana (Pa.) on Saturday, December 14 at 10 a.m., where it will be Senior Day for the Bobcats. Information and updates will be posted to frostburgsports.com.
