SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Frostburg State Baseball senior Ethan Kiple was named NCBWA Preseason First Team All-American, as announced on Friday.
 
Kiple, a first baseman and relief pitcher, continues to add to his list of preseason honors, having also been named NCBWA Preseason First Team All-Region as a utility pitcher. 
 
Earning First Team All-MEC as a first baseman, Second Team All-MEC and NCBWA All-Atlantic Region Second Team as a relief pitcher, Second Team D2CCA Atlantic All-Region as a utility/pitcher, and ABCA/Rawlings All-Region all last season, Kiple led Frostburg in hits and RBI, while breaking the program single season and career record for home runs.  He also recorded five saves in 15 appearances and 26.2 innings pitched, finishing with a 4-0 record, 0.34 ERA, and a total of 39 strikeouts.
