MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Frostburg State Baseball Team had three players receive D2CCA Atlantic All-Region honors, with sophomores Randy Steen and Jacob Stretch and junior Ethan Kiple all being named to the Second Team, as announced by the organization on Wednesday.

Steen, the starting second baseman for FSU, led the team in batting average with .379, while going for 66 hits, 39 runs, 35 RBI, and 34 stolen bases in 37 attempts. He was also named First Team All-MEC and received NCBWA All-Atlantic Region Honorable Mention.

Kiple, receiving honors as utility/pitcher, led the team in hits and RBI, along with breaking the program single season and career record for home runs. On the mound, Kiple threw 26.2 innings in 15 appearances, finishing with a 4-0 record, five saves, a .34 ERA, and 39 strikeouts. He also was named First Team All-MEC as a first baseman and Second Team All-MEC and All-Atlantic Region Second Team as a relief pitcher. 

Stretch, in his first season as a starting pitcher, pitched 47 innings for a 6-1 record, a 2.68 ERA, one complete game, and 63 total strikeouts on his way to becoming another Bobcat earning First-Team All-MEC.
