RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - On Sunday, the Division II Conference Commissioners Association announced its All-American teams, of which Frostburg freshman Emilee Weakley earned a spot on the Second Team.
The star forward, who has already earned an honorable mention All-America honor from the World Exposure Report, leads the country in scoring at 25.5 points per game, while also averaging 10.4 rebounds a game. Her 19 double-doubles are tied for fifth in Division II, as she broke school and conference records for points in both a single game and a single season.
In a late-season game against West Liberty, she scored 47 points in an overtime win, which included a game-tying half court shot that made its way onto ESPN's SportsCenter. Over the course of the year, she scored 766 total points, topping the conference's previous mark of 755 set in 2018-19 and the program mark of 633 that had gone all the way back to 1988-89.
Weakley is the first player to be named an All-American for the program since former standout and Frostburg Hall of Fame member Tracey Little in the 2004-05 season.
