BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – Junior Abbie Baker has been named the Mountain East Conference Acrobatics & Tumbling Athlete of the Week, presented by The Health Plan, as announced by the league office.

Baker, a top and tumbler, competed in 12 heats and the team event for the Bobcats during a non-conference win over No. 11 King University. Baker competed in six heats that scored a 9.50 or higher during the meet, including a 9.85 in the compulsory pyramid and a 9.80 in the synch pyramid. She also turned in a 9.55 in the open tumbling pass against the Tornado, helping the team to its highest-ever meet score at 270.335.
