BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. – Sophomore Emilee Weakley was named MEC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the first time this season, as announced by the league office on Monday, and presented by The Health Plan.
 
Weakley helped lead Frostburg to two huge MEC wins over conference opponents Concord and Glenville State.  Defeating the Mountain Lions 74-73 on the road on Wednesday, Weakley went for 15 points and seven rebounds.  Hosting the Pioneers then on Saturday for a 102-98 victory, Weakley dropped her second 40-piece of the season, on 16-for-24 shooting and going 8-for-9 from the free throw line, while also pulling in eight rebounds. 
 
With the win over GSU, that's the program's first-ever win in the series, as the Bobcats marked a top-10 program history mark for points (102), field goals made (37), and field goal percentage (56.1).
