BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. - Safety Wylan Harich has been named the MEC Defensive Player of the Week, presented by The Health Plan, for the second time this season as announced by the league office. 

Harich tied for the team lead with eight tackles in a 34-28 win over Charleston (WV) and added a pair of interceptions, bringing his total up to four on the season. His second interception sealed the win, as the Golden Eagles looked to start a comeback drive late in the game, but the redshirt freshman intercepted the ball on the first play as the offense ran down the clock to stay unbeaten. He was also named Defensive Player of the Week in the team's first win of the year against American International.
