GLENVILLE, W. Va. – The Frostburg State men's basketball team traveled to face Glenville State on Saturday afternoon and dropped the contest, 100-78.

The game started with a fast pace from the tipoff. The Bobcats struck first with a fastbreak layup from graduate Canaan Bartley to put the Bobcats up early. A few minutes later, freshman Justin Roseme scored a tough bucket in the paint to make the game tied up at 10. Junior Justin Bailey hit a three to give the Bobcats a 17-14 lead. The Pioneers took the lead and stretched it out to as much as 11 points. That was narrowed by back-to-back three pointers from graduate Jihar Williams and Bailey. The half ended with a Bailey layup and a foul, but the Pioneers took a 48-41 lead into the locker room.

The second half was all pioneers as they came out hot, but junior Agyei Edwards sank a three a few minutes in to keep the deficit within 10, at 55-45. After a little run by Glenville State, Edwards made his second three to cut the lead  back to 16 points, but the Pioneers were too much down the stretch as the Bobcats went on a six-minute scoring drought that was ended by a Bartley layup. Senior Bo Schene knocked down a three to make the score 89-62 with a little over five to play in the game, but that was the closest Frostburg would get as they dropped the game, 100-78. 

Bailey led the Bobcats with 16 points and six rebounds to lead the Bobcats. Williams and Edwards each contributed 14 points in a losing effort.
