Frostburg Women Fall at Home Against Glenville State

FROSTBURG, Md. – Frostburg State women's basketball team falls short during the last home contest of the season against the Glenville Pioneers with a final score of 112-55.  The Bobcats we led by sophomore Ciara Thomas with 18 points, four rebounds and, four steals. This drops Frostburg to 2-13 and move Glenville to 10-1.
 
The Bobcats struggled to hold off the Pioneers from scoring giving up 12 points in the first two and a half minutes of play. Thomas opened the scoring for the Bobcats at the 7:28 mark with a good layup. A good layup and free throw from sophomore Arianna Briggs-Hall brought the score to 22-5 with four minutes left. A jumper from first year Rhiana Hall brought the score to 33-16 to end the first quarter of play.
 
Senior Grace Butera opened the scoring for the Bobcats at the 6:05 mark with two good free throws from the line 46-18. First year Niya Moore-Harris landed two good shots from the line bringing the score to 46-20. Thomas landed the last points for the Bobcats with a good layup with 36 seconds left in the half. The Pioneers landed two more points to end the half with a score of 60-24.
 
Thomas landed a good layup for the Bobcats at the 9:26 mark 63-26. Two good baskets from Thomas gave the Bobcats four more points bringing the score to 78-38 with 3:17 left in the third. The Pioneers went on a 10-point scoring run finishing the score at 78-38 to go into the final quarter of play.
 
 Thomas landed a good free throw from the line opening the scoring for FSU in the final quarter of play at 8:39. A good three pointer from first year Kyrsten Joseph and two good free throws from junior Drew Dunathan brought the Bobcats up to 52 points with three minutes left in the game. Joseph landed a good jumper to end the scoring for the game with a final score of 112-55.
 
Hall contributed nine points to the game while Joseph added seven.
