FROSTBURG, Md. – The Frostburg State Office of Athletic Communications continues its weekly coaches' show featuring conversations with all its in-season coaches. The podcast-style show gives fans an inside look at all the happenings of their favorite Bobcat teams.

Men's tennis kicked off their season with an invitational hosted by the University of Charleston. Geoff Goldring earned the Bobcats' lone win Friday evening, while Andrew Burton, Mason Hordubay, and Tim Goldring all picked up victories on Saturday. The men's team's first official match is slated for March 20th at home against West Liberty, while the women's first action is at home to Bowie State on March 6th. 

Volleyball hosted their first match this year at Bobcat Arena, losing in straight sets to West Liberty. Laken Michael led the Bobcat attack with seven kills, while Jenna Gossard shone on defense with 12 digs. The Bobcats return to the court Tuesday, February 16th, as they host Alderson Broaddus as a double-header.

Men's basketball dropped both home games against Glenville State and Fairmont State. Glenville's John Williams put up 52 points in the highest scoring output by one player at any collegiate level this year, giving his team a 131-104 victory. The Bobcats were led by Agyei Edwards' 23 points, followed closely by Canaan Bartley's 22. Jaylon Johnson dished a season-high 7 assists, while Bo Schene and Desmond Rene scored season-high totals of 16 and 15 points respectively. Against Fairmont State, Canaan Bartley led the team in scoring with 17 points, with Jaylon Johnson right behind him with 15 of his own, as the Bobcats fell 99-75. The men return to action Wednesday, February 17th at Wheeling, before returning home Saturday, February 20th against West Liberty.
