BRIDGEPORT, W. Va.- Redshirt freshman Jeremiah Baxter was named the Mountain East football defensive player of the week for his standout performance on Saturday against Alderson Broaddus.

Baxter nabbed three interceptions in the game, which is the most in a single game for FSU since 1996. He also tied the MEC record held by five other players. Adding to his day, he blocked a punt and returned it for a touchdown to cap off a fine performance.Â
