Frostburg Women Drop Road Game to Concord

ATHENS, W. Va. – The Frostburg State women's basketball team drops its road game to Concord this afternoon 76-53. FSU was led by Junior Morgan Dombroski's 17 points, three rebounds and three steals. 
     
 Frostburg State moves to a record of 2-6 while Concord moves to 4-3 with the win.  
  
Frostburg started the game off with the lead after a mid-range jumper from senior Grace Butera. FSU and Concord exchanged baskets for most of the first quarter with the mountain lions leading by one, 17-16, as time expired.   
  
After an eight-point first quarter, Dombroski knocked down two foul shots for FSUs first points of the second quarter. First-year Rhiana Hall scored a bucket after getting her own rebound to pull the Bobcats within two points with 3:58 to remain in the half. The Bobcats gave up a 9-0 run to finish the half trailing Concord 37-26.  
  
Junior Drew Dunathan got Frostburg its first points of the third quarter at just under the halfway point. FSU came to life at the end of the third with a bucket off an inbound pass form first-year Niya Moore-Harris. Sophomore Arianna Briggs-Hall followed that up with a layup after going the length of the floor. The third quarter finished with the FSU trailing 55-37.  
  
Briggs-Hall started the final quarter off by driving to the basket for two points. She followed up that score by being fouled driving to the basket again and hitting one of the awarded foul shots. Butera knocked down a foul shot to get the Bobcats to a score of 72-50 late in the fourth.  Dombroski scored her 17th and Frostburg's last points of the game with 1:26 to go. The game finished with Concord defeating Frostburg 76-53.  
 
Briggs-Hall ended the night with nine points while Butera had seven points to go along with six rebounds.
