MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – On Saturday afternoon the Frostburg women's tennis team traveled to take on the Millersville Marauders. The Bobcats fell to the Marauders 7-0 in their season opener leaving them 0-1 overall.

At No.1 doubles sophomore Shea Przywieczerski and first-year Rabiatu Ladan took on Millersville's Esperanza Contador and Julie Wallace for a 6-0 loss. No. 2 doubles senior Allison Paul and first-year Madison Toothman also fell to the Marauders in a shutout. No. 3 doubles sophomore Cherise Jenkins and first-year Jen Dieterle dropped their match to Kelsey Heckert and Victoria Hanus.

No. 1 singles sophomore Erike Femne, No. 3 singles Ladan, No. 5 singles Toothman and No. 6 singles Jenkins all lost in two sets to the Maurauders. No.2 singles Przywieczerski lost 6-1, 6-0, No. 6 singles Jenkins lost 6-0, 6-0 and No. 4 singles sophomore Ariana Zuzunaga fell 6-2, 6-4.

The Bobcats are back in action on September 18 at 6:30 pm at Cordts Tennis Complex.
