FROSTBURG, Md. – Frostburg State junior first baseman Ryan Roell added another postseason accolade to his 2019 campaign with an all-region nod from D3baseball.com, who included Roell on its South Region Third Team on Thursday afternoon.
 
Roell adds the all-region designation to second team All-CAC and All-ECAC certificates for his record-breaking season.
 
Roell broke Frostburg State's single-season home run record and ranks third in the nation with 16 long balls in his first season as a Bobcat. At 0.47 home runs per game, he leads the nation. His .823 slugging percentage led the CAC and stands at fourth in the Division III.
 
He also led the Bobcats with a .362 batting average, 47 hits, 34 runs, 12 doubles, 40 RBIs and 107 total bases. In 21 CAC contests, Roell hit .365 with 12 home runs and 26 RBI.
 
Roell led a Frostburg offense that was ranked third in the conference in home runs (40) and slugging percentage (.458), and fourth in extra-base hits (116).
 
The Bobcats finished the year with a 13-20-1 record in a season that included a 10-game winning streak, the program's longest winning streak since the 2015 campaign.
