D’Amico Earns CAC Weekly Honor

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - Sophomore outfielder Tre D'Amico was named the Capital Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week following the second week of the season, ending on February 24.

In three games last week, D'Amico went 7-for-10, driving in 10 runs. Six of his seven hits went for extra-bases, as he collected two home runs and four doubles.
 
In the Bobcats' doubleheader sweep against New Rochelle on Sunday alone, the Annapolis, Md. native went 6-for-8 with two home runs, three doubles, eight RBI and a stolen base.
 
D'Amico has started his season with a .667 average, going 8-for-12 in his first five games. Frostburg has started the season with a pristine 5-0 record.
 
The Bobcats are back in action this weekend at the Hampden-Sydney Tournament in Farmville, Virginia. FSU will kick of the tournament against RIT at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 1. For more information, or to follow the live stats, go to frostburgsports.com.
