It was Frostburg's first live TV game in program history and fans joined watch parties throughout Maryland and in Charlotte to catch all of the action.

PRESEASON POLL
Frostburg was picked to finish ninth in its first season as a member of the Mountain East Conference and five of FSU's seven wins have come against teams picked ahead of them in the poll.

Frostburg took down Fairmont in 2OT and the Falcons were picked to finish second in the league. On Thursday Oct. 17, the Bobcats dominated Charleston to the tune of 42-7 at Bobcat Stadium and UC was slated to finish fourth in the league.

The Bobcats have also defeated Urbana (fifth), West Liberty (sixth), Concord (eighth), W.Va. Wesleyan (10th) and Wheeling (11th).

SCORING FIRST
Frostburg is 5-1 this season when scoring first and is 38-4 under Fitzgerald when the Bobcats put the first points on the scoreboard.

REGULAR-SEASON FINALES
Frostburg has won its last three regular-season finales and two have come in OT. Prior to 2016, FSU hadn't won a regular-season finale since 2003.

ENDING WITH A VICTORY
With a win over Glenville State on Saturday, Frostburg will cap its season (regular and postseason) with a win for the second time in four seasons.

FSU won an ECAC Bowl Game over St. John Fisher, 38-14, in 2016 to finish 10-1 with a nine-game winning streak.

Frostburg has posted 18 wins in its season (regular and postseason) finales throughout its 59-year history.

A VICTORY WOULD
- Lift the Bobcats to 285-284-8 overall in 59 seasons
- Land Fitzgerald his 50th victory at the helm of Frostburg
- Give the Bobcats their 12th win in their last 14 games in November
- Cap Frostburg's season at a perfect 5-0 in road games
- Be the 13th win in November since the 2016 season

TOUGH TO COME BY
In his five-plus seasons at the helm, Fitzgerald has led the Bobcats to a 31-1 record when holding opponents to less than 100 yards rushing.

FSU has limited three opponents this fall, Urbana, Wesleyan, Charleston and Kentucky Wesleyan to less than 100 yards on the ground.

TURNOVER BATTLE
Over the last four games, Frostburg has won the turnover battle by forcing 12 turnovers while giving the ball away just six times.

On the season, FSU has forced 20 turnovers, while committing just 15. The Bobcats are third in the league in turnover margin at +4.

On the flip side, Glenville leads the MEC with a +14 turnover margin as the Pioneers have caused 28 turnovers in 10 games.

IN WILL WE TRUST
Frostburg graduate QB Will Brunson has thrown for 18 touchdowns in 10 games this season and is completing nearly 55 percent of his passes. He has thrown for two or more TDs in six contests and has passed for 1,916 yards. He is currently fifth in the MEC in TDs and seventh in yards.

Brunson, who averages 191.6 yards per game, needs just 84 yards to become the fifth different QB in program history to throw for 2,000 yards in a season.

LEANING ON LAVAT
Junior RB Gavin Lavat is second in the MEC statistics in rushing this season, averaging 102.1 yards per game over FSU's first 10 games in Division II.

So far this fall, Lavat has carried the ball 234 times for 1,056 yards with 10 touchdowns.

He is the first Bobcat to eclipse 1,000 yards in a season since 2001 and he is one of just five players to hit that mark in a season in program history. His 1,056 yards are currently fifth in a single-season in the records books and next on the list is DeNelle Hale, who ran for 1,073 yards in '01.

Lavat has rushed for over 100 yards in five games this season, including a season-best 145 yards on 22 carries with two TDs last Saturday in a win over Kentucky Wesleyan.

TIME MANAGEMENT
Frostburg enters the final week of the fall season ranked third in the MEC and 38th in the nation in time of possession at 31:41 per game.

The Bobcats have held the ball for 30 or more minutes in seven of 10 games this season. FSU has held onto the football for 34 or more minutes in three games.

The Bobcats' T.O.P. numbers are a direct result of Frostburg running the ball on 62.1 percent of its offensive plays.

OPPONENT BACKFIELDS
A pair of Frostburg juniors have been introducing themselves to MEC opponents by spending quality time in their opponent's backfield.

Zach Strand and Carl Igweh are currently first and second in the league's statistical standings in tackles for loss. Strand has 16.0 tackles for loss (1.45), while Igweh has 15.5 (1.41).

In his two years with Frostburg, Igweh has made 21.5 stops behind the line, while Strand has 32.5 TFLs through 2.5 years on the roster.

The Bobcats are currently tied for eighth in the DII ranks in sacks per game (3.50) and tied for 10th in tackles for loss per game (9.1).

FINDING THE END ZONE
The Bobcats have scored 61 offensive touchdowns in each of the last two seasons. In 2017, Frostburg's 61 TDs broke the program record of 53 touchdowns that was set in 1990.

So far this fall, Frostburg is averaging 4.3 TDs per game and if that pace continues, the Bobcats will find the end zone nearly 43 times in their first season at DII.

LAST TIME OUT
Frostburg State used four second-half touchdowns to eclipse a slow start for 35-25 win over Kentucky Wesleyan.

Junior Lincoln Ikwubuo caught two third-quarter touchdown passes, classmate Gavin Lavat rumbled for a pair of scores and senior Vincent Persichetti put an exclamation point on the afternoon as he returned an interception 48 yards for a touchdown early in the fourth.

Lavat rushed for a season-best 145 yards and became Frostburg's first 1,000-yard rusher since 2001.
