URBANA, Ohio. - On Wednesday afternoon, the Frostburg State women's soccer team fell to Urbana on the road 5-4. The Bobcats now sit at 6-9-1 overall and 6-7 in conference play. Urbana advances to 6-7-1 overall and 6-5-1 in MEC matchups.

The first minute of the game resulted in the first goal from the Urbana Blue Knights to put them up 1-0. FSU responded shortly after with a shot by first-year Marley Copes that was on target but resulted in a save. A minute later at the 3:16 mark, senior Brooke Shehade also took a shot that was saved as well.

The Blue Knights scored their second goal of the game at 9:01. Urbana went on to score another goal at 13:11. The Bobcats tried to get on the board with a shot from senior Gwen Schemm that missed left until the final goal of the half came at 25:28 from UU. Frostburg being down 4-0 on the scoreboard would finish the half strong outshooting the hosts 6-0 all of which were on goal.

The Blue Knights scored 4 minutes into the second half making the score 5-0. A shot from sophomore Audra Curtin would need to be saved and forced a corner. Frostburg capitalized off the Shehade corner kick with a goal from sophomore Kori Striano making it 5-1.

A foul in the box after a Bobcat corner kick resulted in a penalty shot opportunity for FSU. Striano stepped up to the penalty spot and put the ball in the back of the net making the score 5-2 at 59:18. Frostburg cut the score within two after an unassisted goal from senior Jesse Dunagan at 71:11. A fourth consecutive Frostburg goal at 82:30 from Shehade assisted by Curtin had the Bobcats down by just one goal. A shot from Striano and a shot from Dunagan wouldn't be enough and would be saved to give Urbana the win.

Frostburg outshot Urbana 29-15 throughout the match while the Blue Knights tallied nine corners with the Bobcats registering five.
