CAMDEN, N.J. – The Frostburg State men's soccer team could not overcome the relentless attack of the 17
th-ranked Rowan Profs Sunday afternoon at Rutgers-Camden Community Park in a 7-0 setback.
Rowan (4-1) captured the Cialella Soccer Classic tournament championship with the win and held Frostburg (0-3-2) to just three shots.
Senior Ernie Williams registered the Bobcats lone shot on goal in the 60
th minute, but was denied by Rowan goalkeeper Kyle Dennis.
Meanwhile, Rowan registered three goals in the first half and four after the break. Matt Hendrickson, Shane Doherty and Kevin Primich all scored twice for the Profs.
Freshman goalkeeper Juan Bofill allowed five goals and made six saves in 72:11 while freshman Kyle Frye allowed two goals with three saves in the final 17:49.
Frostburg hits the road on Wednesday, September 13 against Penn State Altoona at 7:00 p.m.
