FROSTBURG, Md. – The Frostburg men's soccer team surrendered a goal in both halves and fell to Washington & Jefferson 2-0 in a non-conference matchup at Bobcat Stadium early Saturday afternoon.

The Bobcats managed seven shots on the afternoon, two shots on goal and five corners, but were blanked by the Presidents.
Both the Bobcats and the Presidents managed just a single shot on goal in the first half. Washington & Jefferson's Matt Kotkiewicz made his only attempt of the game count as he hustled into the box to block a kick by Frostburg goalie Jackson Bicknell, and blast in the game's first goal in the sixth minute.
The Bobcats nearly responded after a throw-in from senior Ernie Williams bounced right into the box of W&J with both junior Haven Mackie and sophomore Josh McRobie unable to cash in on the opportunity.
For the Bobcat's lone shot on goal in the first half, sophomore K.J. Davis found an opening and fired a clean, left-footed shot that was deflected by Nick Stasko's sliding kick save in the 26
th minute of action.
W&J nearly added to its one-goal advantage in the 70
th minute when Michael DeSabato fired a shot from the left side, however sophomore keeper Juan Bofill made a diving save to preserve the score. The Bobcats could not keep W&J off the board later in the half as the Presidents extended their lead in the 74
th minute when Jacob Fetterman snuck in the Presidents' second goal of the afternoon.
Brett Basham's header from a Rodrigo Valenzuela corner kick proved to be the only other shot on target for the Bobcats on the afternoon, and it was saved by Stasko as well
Senior Jackson Bicknell played the first half in net for the Bobcats, and sophomore Juan Bofill worked the final 45 minutes of action and made four saves. Both keepers allowed a goal in their respective halves.
Frostburg hosts nationally-ranked Lycoming on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.
